I have always struggled with remembering faces and names. I think that is why I am so fascinated with – specifically – faces. Portraits, whether photographed or painted, seem to me to be the ultimate way to memorize and archive a person. A good portrait tells the viewer who they are looking at.
Not necessarily by name and trade - but by temprament.
